About the position

The Bilingual Leasing Agent/Assistant Manager position is a full-time role focused on leasing apartments and assisting the property manager with resident management. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, be computer literate, and have experience in real estate or sales. This role requires effective communication and the ability to work with residents and prospects in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Greet prospects and qualify by covering all criteria.
  • Record all telephone and in-person visits on appropriate reports.
  • Inspect available market-ready units and communicate service needs to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Handle assorted tenant questions and issues.
  • Demonstrate community and apartment features to clients.
  • Coordinate property tours showing available rental units.
  • Assist prospects in completing applications and security deposits according to company procedures and Fair Housing requirements.
  • Update availability reports and process applications for approvals.
  • Submit processed applications for approval and follow up with applicants regarding status.
  • Ensure apartments are ready for residents to move in on the agreed date.
  • Secure new residents' signatures on appropriate paperwork prior to move-in.
  • Orient new residents to the community.
  • Assist in monitoring renewals and distribute renewal notices.
  • Represent the company professionally at all times.
  • Maintain current resident files and accurate monthly commission records on leases and renewals.
  • Assist management with various tasks as required.
  • Implement community policies consistently.
  • Receive and address resident requests and concerns promptly.
  • Complete maintenance service requests and inform the maintenance team.
  • Follow up on maintenance repairs and ensure resident satisfaction.
  • Maintain open communication with Management and Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Contribute to the cleanliness and curb appeal of the community.
  • Assist in planning and hosting resident functions.
  • Participate in outreach activities to obtain prospective residents.
  • Assist in placing and updating marketing materials.

Requirements

  • Valid Real Estate License (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience in sales or customer service.
  • Bilingual proficiency.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google web applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the real estate field.
  • Fair Housing Certification (or willingness to obtain).
