About the position

Daffodil Pediatrics is seeking a full-time Bilingual Medical Assistant proficient in Spanish and English to join their pediatric outpatient clinic. The role involves both clinical and administrative duties, focusing on providing excellent patient care and support in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in pediatrics or family medicine and will be responsible for various tasks including patient histories, vital signs, and vaccine administration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations of pediatric patients.
• Conduct patient histories and vital signs assessments.
• Perform hearing and vision screenings, including OAE.
• Conduct tests for urinalysis, strep, CBC, lipid, and spirometry.
• Administer phlebotomy (venipuncture).
• Review and input immunization schedules and vaccines into the system (GRITS).
• Input vitals and other information into the EHR (EPIC).
• Handle prescription refill duties and upload labs for physician review.
• Perform some CPT and ICD coding in EHR.
• Answer nurse calls and manage inventory of medical and administrative supplies.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Pediatrics or Family Medicine.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with vaccine administration (GRITS).
• Experience with venipuncture.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to build patient rapport.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
