We strive to create a team that highlights our culture of diversity, ethics, and collaboration. We are looking for a full-time Medical Receptionist in San Antonio, TX. The Medical Receptionist's work encompasses many tasks such as greeting patients, scheduling appointments, performing clerical duties, managing insurance and billing, and providing medical procedural support. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring they feel welcomed and supported. Your essential functions will include greeting patients as they arrive at the facility, assisting them in completing all necessary forms and documentation, and updating their information into the EMR database. You will also be responsible for answering telephone inquiries, calling patients to remind them of their appointments, and scheduling and rescheduling appointments as needed. It is crucial to protect patient and family privacy rights and maintain confidentiality of patient records in accordance with policy and procedure and HIPAA requirements. Additionally, you will adhere to the company standards of business conduct and perform other duties as assigned. To succeed in this role, you should possess knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, including word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology. Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word, are essential. Attention to detail is critical, as is the ability to adapt with flexibility to changes in the workplace. You should be able to work independently with little or no supervision and maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients as they arrive at the facility
  • Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation

Requirements

  • High School diploma or its equivalent
  • Minimum 1-2 years in medical office setting
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Strong attention to detail: being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks
  • Ability to adapt with flexibility: being open to change (positive or negative) and to considerable variety in the workplace
  • Ability to work independently by guiding oneself with little or no supervision and depending on oneself to get things done
  • Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow
