About the position

We are looking for a full-time, bilingual Medical Receptionist in Denton, TX. The Medical Receptionist's work encompasses many tasks such as greeting patients, scheduling appointments, performing clerical duties, managing insurance and billing, and providing medical procedural support. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for greeting patients as they arrive at the facility, assisting them in completing all necessary forms and documentation, and updating their information into the EMR database. You will also answer telephone inquiries, call patients to remind them of their appointments, and schedule and reschedule appointments as needed. It is crucial to protect patient and family privacy rights and maintain confidentiality of patient records in accordance with policy and procedure and HIPAA requirements. Additionally, you will adhere to the company standards of business conduct and perform other duties as assigned. To succeed in this role, you should possess knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, including word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology. Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word, are essential. Attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to work independently are also important traits for this position. Being bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish, is a requirement for this role.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School diploma or its equivalent
  • Minimum 1-2 years in medical office setting
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt with flexibility
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow
  • Bilingual; fluent in English and Spanish
