About the position
The Mental Health Counselor will provide evidence-based therapeutic services to children and their families who are referred to DePelchin by Family-Based Safety Services (FBSS). These services will be provided primarily in-homes as well as virtual, offices, schools or other institutions in the South Central and Hill Country Region. The South Central and Hill Country area is previously known as Region 8b and is comprised of 17 counties in and around San Antonio.
Requirements
- Fluent in Spanish. English required.
- Master's in social work or related human services field.
- Fully licensed as an LMSW; or
- Provisionally licensed as an LPC-Associate, or LMFT-Associate.
- Passed licensure examination to obtain LMSW, LMFT-Associate, or LPC-Associate.
- Employment is contingent upon obtaining full/provisional licensure within 90 days of hire.
Nice-to-haves
- Entry level with one year's experience.
- One (1) year experience in case management, crisis intervention, or child welfare.
