About the position

The Bilingual Office Manager at LEAD Public Schools is responsible for overseeing the daily administrative operations of the school, ensuring a high standard of customer service and operational efficiency. This role involves collaboration with the Director of School Operations and the Principal to support school policies and procedures, manage office staff, and maintain student records. The Office Manager plays a crucial role in community engagement and administrative support, contributing to the overall mission of preparing students for college and life.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily administrative operations of the school.
  • Serve as the primary customer service contact for parents and visitors.
  • Train, direct, and monitor the work of the Receptionist and student office aides.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding student records and personnel matters.
  • Act as the primary contact for student records and requests from legally entitled agencies.
  • Organize community outreach and registration sessions for families.
  • Work with the Operations Associate on income lunch verification forms collection.
  • Order, receive, and inventory campus goods according to the purchase order system.
  • Respond to requests for translation assistance and operational platform inquiries.
  • Serve as backup medical designee to administer first aid and student medication.
  • Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings.
  • Maintain timely and consistent attendance at work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 3+ years in administrative roles, preferably in a school main office.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and/or Arabic (preferred).
  • 2+ years of strong student information systems (SIS) data management experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and equivalent student database software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and emotional control under stress.

Nice-to-haves

  • Typing Certificate, 50 Net WPM (no more than 2 years old).
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise staff.
  • Experience with Infinite Campus.
