About the position

The Bilingual Operations Coordinator position at a leading building supply company in Gainesville, FL, is a full-time role that requires a strong bilingual capability in both English and Spanish. This position is essential for supporting the Plant Manager in various operational tasks necessary for the efficient running of the plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing reports, assessing data, and following up with supervisors on findings to ensure that operations run smoothly. The role also involves performing safety and quality inspections, ensuring that these inspections are conducted as scheduled, and coordinating with operations, maintenance, and supply teams to schedule project work effectively. In addition to these responsibilities, the Operations Coordinator will follow up on projects to ensure they are completed properly and on time. The role requires the development, updating, and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and checklists to streamline operations. The candidate will also need to learn various programs to assist in scheduling the plant as needed, providing backup support when required. This position offers an average of 50 hours of work per week, with opportunities for overtime, and comes with quarterly bonuses averaging $2500 over the last year, making it a lucrative opportunity for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the Plant Manager to assist with necessary tasks to run the plant.
  • Review reports, assess data, and follow up with supervisors on findings.
  • Perform various safety and quality inspections.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.
  • Strong organizational skills are essential.
  • Technically savvy with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Suite tools.
  • 2 years of experience in construction, building supply, or truss plant operations is required.
  • A valid Driver's License is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in manufacturing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with assembly line processes is beneficial.
