About the position

The Bilingual Outside Sales Account Manager serves as the vital link between Hilti and its customers, focusing on face-to-face consultative sales to cultivate a loyal client base within a designated geographical area. This role is essential in enhancing the company's market share and position within the territory. The position requires the development, analysis, and management of business plans through an Opportunity-Oriented Sales Approach, utilizing relevant Hilti systems and tools, including Salesforce, to align Hilti solutions with validated client needs. In this role, the Account Manager will employ Time and Territory Management (TTM) strategies, zoning territory based on client potential and previous sales, while effectively planning daily schedules that include visits to jobsites, projects, and client offices. Demonstrating Hilti products, software, and services is a key responsibility, as is communicating the Hilti Value proposition directly to clients. The successful candidate will manage open leads, converting qualified leads into opportunities, and ensuring timely updates to opportunities and data quality. The role also involves identifying key roles within client organizations, understanding their responsibilities and needs, and securing appointments with decision-makers who have potential for Hilti's offerings. Evaluating top potential accounts within the assigned sales territory will be done in collaboration with Hilti stakeholders, creating account development plans to maintain a balanced pipeline by identifying client potential and addressing gaps in their purchasing habits throughout their project stages. The Account Manager will need to manage complexities within the territory using Hilti's CRM platform, ensuring adequate documentation and collaboration with various departments, including materials management, logistics, credit, marketing, technical services, and customer service. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary, contributing to the overall success of the sales team and the company.

Responsibilities

  • Make outside, face-to-face consultative sales to grow a loyal client base within a designated geographical area.
  • Develop, analyze, and manage business plans through an Opportunity-Oriented Sales Approach utilizing relevant Hilti systems and tools.
  • Use Time and Territory Management (TTM) to zone territory by client potential and previous sales, and create/plan daily schedules.
  • Demonstrate Hilti products, software, and services sales execution and communicate the Hilti Value proposition in-person with clients.
  • Manage open leads, convert qualified leads to opportunities, and update opportunities and data quality in a timely manner.
  • Identify key roles within client organizations and obtain appointments with decision makers.
  • Evaluate top potential accounts within assigned sales territory and create account development plans.
  • Manage complexities in territory using Hilti's CRM platform with adequate documentation and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with various departments to be a successful account manager.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish is required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of three years of outside sales experience with a proven track record of success.
  • Understanding of trades, key applications, and share of wallet preferred.
  • Some experience with reading and understanding construction documents preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills including Salesforce, MS Office suite, and smartphones.
  • Previous experience preparing professional sales presentations and quotes for clients.
  • Ability to assist credit department in collecting on outstanding accounts receivables.
  • Excellent time and territory management skills.
  • Ability to thrive both independently and in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop engaged client relationships and implement strategic concepts.
  • Must be persuasive, sales driven, client focused, and a team player.
  • Must maintain a professional business appearance in accordance with Hilti North America dress policy.
