About the position

Position Overview: We are seeking a Legal Assistant with legal knowledge and practical experience to support the company's legal affairs management. This role will primarily handle tasks related to labor contracts, labor law compliance, L1 visa processing for company executives, and communication with legal advisors regarding labor disputes, contract disputes, and litigation follow-ups, ensuring the company operates efficiently within a legal framework. Key Responsibilities: Labor Contract Management: Draft, review, and manage employee labor contracts, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and regulations. Assist in modifying and updating contract terms to align with the latest legal requirements and company policies. Labor Law Compliance: Research and ensure company adherence to state and federal labor laws, particularly California labor law. Collaborate with the HR team to provide legal compliance training and address related legal inquiries from employees and management. L1 Visa Processing: Assist in the preparation of L1 visa applications for company executives, including the preparation of necessary documents and coordination with immigration attorneys. Track the progress of visa applications to ensure timely submission and approval. Legal Disputes and Litigation: Participate in handling labor and contract disputes, preparing relevant legal documents, and maintaining communication with external legal advisors. Monitor litigation progress to ensure the company receives proper support and guidance throughout the legal process. Legal Document Management: Maintain and manage all company legal documents and contracts, ensuring they are securely stored and easily accessible. Support document preparation and file management for various legal matters within the company.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience, particularly in labor law and immigration law.
  • Familiarity with California labor law and federal labor regulations.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to draft clear and precise legal documents.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in legal document management systems and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin is required.
