About the position

The Bilingual Patient Intake Specialist at Pair Team is a full-time role focused on enhancing primary care operations for underserved populations. This position involves engaging with patients, particularly those with serious mental illnesses or substance use disorders, to facilitate their onboarding into the Enhanced Care Management (ECM) program. The specialist will play a crucial role in building trust and rapport with patients, ensuring they understand the program's features and benefits, and coordinating their introduction to care managers.

Responsibilities

• Support the care team by intaking new patients into the Enhanced Care Management (ECM) program by gathering key social, behavioral, and clinical information.
• Provide clear communication with the patient and ensure they fully understand the ECM program features and benefits.
• Create a safe, compassionate environment to build immediate rapport and trust with patients.
• Coordinate a clean hand-off to a Lead Care Manager and schedule new patient introduction meetings.
• Assist with operations quality improvement projects to optimize the process for patients and the team.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment providing administrative support and intaking new patients.
• Experienced with gathering sensitive patient information, documentation, and scheduling appointments.
• Bilingual with excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish, with proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
• Ability to input data quickly and accurately (40+ WPM is ideal).
• Strong technical skills and comfort with utilizing multiple technology platforms simultaneously, including troubleshooting software and hardware issues.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with GoogleSuite applications, Slack, Looker, or other comparable data tools.
• A fantastic listener, skilled at 'reading people' and understanding nuances in communication.
