About the position

The Bilingual Payroll Specialist is an entry-level position responsible for performing payroll functions, including the entry and processing of detailed time records and other data to produce payrolls. The role involves reviewing and processing payroll modifications, analyzing payroll data, and ensuring internal controls for accurate payroll processing.

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurate processing of time and attendance data necessary for payroll.
• Data entry of mileage and other reimbursements.
• Ensure accurate use of pay codes and pay rates for services, following wage and hour guidelines.
• Audit entry of specific types of payroll entries by other staff.
• Adhere to internal control processes including payroll balancing and SOX compliance.
• Communicate effectively with staff on payroll issues for resolution.
• Perform rate and payroll entry for special programs as requested.
• Assist with, review, and follow up on payroll reports as requested.
• Review new and terminated employees' reports weekly to ensure all rates are entered for new employees.
• Maintain confidentiality of all payroll information.
• Maintain regular, predictable, consistent attendance and flexibility to meet departmental needs.
• Follow all Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA regulations and requirements.
• Abide by all regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of home care office administration or data entry experience required.
• Customer service skills and computer literacy.
• Typing skills and ability to handle multiple phone lines.
• Well organized with excellent attention to detail.
