About the position

The Orantes Law Firm, LLC, located in Brookhaven, GA, is a dynamic and growing law firm that specializes in workers' compensation and personal injury cases. We are dedicated to providing exceptional legal services to our clients and are currently seeking a bilingual paralegal/case manager to join our team. This full-time position requires a strong commitment to client interaction and the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational and communication skills, as well as a passion for helping clients navigate the complexities of the legal system. In this role, the paralegal/case manager will assist attorneys throughout all stages of workers' compensation and personal injury cases. Responsibilities will include conducting legal research, drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, and maintaining organized case files. The position also involves extensive communication with clients, witnesses, insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, courts, and medical providers. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client treatment, ordering medical records, preparing for hearings, trials, and depositions, drafting settlement demands, negotiating bill/lien reductions, and assisting attorneys with settlement disbursement. Additionally, the paralegal/case manager will conduct potential client interviews and open new claims, as well as manage calendars effectively. This is an in-person position with set hours from Monday to Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There is potential for a hybrid work option after the completion of the probationary period, allowing for some flexibility in the work environment.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bilingual English & Spanish Required (written and verbal fluency)
  • High School Diploma/Bachelor's Degree/Paralegal Certificate or commensurate experience
  • Experience in workers' compensation or personal injury is preferred
  • Clio software knowledge is a plus
