About the position

The Bilingual PMO Project Manager role at a global bank in Tampa, FL, is a contract position with a strong possibility of extension or conversion to full-time employment. The position requires managing multiple projects, developing project plans, and ensuring successful project delivery while working onsite 2-3 days a week. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Spanish and possess project management experience in the financial services sector.

Responsibilities

  • Manages multi-faceted projects or multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Organizes new challenges and drives business results.
  • Uses best practice PMO methodology to create project plans that meet stakeholders' needs and deliver within budget.
  • Drives end results of the project as a representative of the business.
  • Works closely with End User, Technology, and other organizations to define project scope and objectives.
  • Prepares, maintains, and submits clear and concise activity/progress reports and time management reports.
  • Assesses project risk potentials and discovers potential problems before they occur.
  • Tracks project participant progress against project goals proactively.
  • Defines and enforces good project management practices, resolving complex activities into manageable tasks.
  • Identifies and amends project approaches based on context and constraints.
  • Recognizes and articulates problems, bringing the right people together to solve them.
  • Communicates project milestones, status updates, and escalation issues to all concerned parties.
  • Follows escalation and change control processes diligently.
  • Owns all management reports on a given engagement.
  • Promotes good working relationships across the project, cultivating trust and communication among stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of project management experience in a financial services environment.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Ability to develop project plans and manage individual deadlines and goals.
  • Knowledge of project metrics, including gathering, reporting, trend analysis, and creation.
  • Ability to identify issues and problems, generate solutions, and choose appropriate alternatives using root cause analysis.
  • Experience managing project scope by assessing requirement changes and their impact on budget, time, and risk.
  • Ability to manage client expectations and anticipate operational and tactical risks.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel, and MS Project; experience with VISIO and Adobe Acrobat Professional is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • PMP certification strongly preferred.
  • Six Sigma certification is a plus.
