About the position

The Bilingual PRS Intensive Case Manager Level 3 at the National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) is responsible for providing post-release services to stabilize family units through trauma-informed and intensive case management. This role involves connecting families with community-based services and requires in-home visits across multiple states. The position emphasizes a case management approach that advocates for unaccompanied children and their sponsors, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Level Three (3) post release services.
  • As needed, provide Level Two (2) and Level One (1) post release services.
  • Ensure the delivery of intensive in-home services and engagement with children and family.
  • Connect the released child and sponsor family with community-based services.
  • Maintain monthly in-person or virtual contacts for 6 months following referral acceptance.
  • Carry a minimum caseload of 3 cases per worker.
  • Establish working relationships with community-based organizations.
  • Assess, plan, facilitate, and advocate for unaccompanied children and their sponsors using knowledge of social services and human services.
  • Follow all ORR guidelines and policy requirements.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge and understanding of ORR Policy and Procedures, Flores Agreement, and other applicable regulations and laws.
  • Report to PRS Clinical Supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science, or a bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of clinical experience.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Prior experience with ORR HS/PRS preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of ORR's Official System of Record (UC Portal).
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time with a valid motor vehicle license and reliable automobile.
  • Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries, and C/ANs check.
  • Willingness to work flexible and non-traditional hours.
  • Must live within a 100-mile radius of the city they will be focused on supporting.
