About the position

The Bilingual Safety Manager at Casey Construction Group is responsible for ensuring the safety of all employees and personnel on construction sites. This role involves close collaboration with Superintendents, Project Managers, and Field Operations to implement and enforce safety policies and procedures effectively. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying hazards, conducting safety inspections, and providing training to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of safety professionals
• Conduct safety inspections for compliance
• Enforce safety compliance on sites according to local, state, and federal standards
• Perform field observations to identify hazards and recommend remedial actions
• Ensure safety logs and files are up-to-date
• Provide necessary safety equipment and signage to project sites
• Assist in OSHA inspections on site
• Provide safety training and support as needed
• Develop job-specific safety plans in collaboration with Superintendents
• Conduct jobsite employee training as required
• Maintain positive relationships with general contractors and subcontractors
• Participate in meetings as necessary

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• A minimum of three (3) years of relevant construction safety experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• OSHA 510 Training in fall protection and scaffolding
• First Aid/CPR certified (or ability to obtain within the first 3 months of start date)
• Bilingual in Spanish, able to read, write, and speak proficiently
• Strong organizational skills with excellent time management abilities
• Detail-oriented
• Ability to work flexible schedules as needed

Nice-to-haves

• A degree in Safety and Health or a related field
• BCSP Safety Certification - Certified Safety Professional, Construction Health, and Safety Technician
