About the position

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Bilingual Retail Salesperson to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service in both English and Spanish, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Your ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers will be key in driving sales and fostering customer loyalty. You will be rewarded with a competitive base salary plus bonuses.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and ascertain their needs to provide personalized assistance.
• Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to effectively assist customers.
• Supervise sales floor activities when necessary, ensuring adherence to store policies and procedures.
• Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves and organizing merchandise displays.
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries or concerns over the phone.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance the overall shopping experience.

Requirements

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with cash registers, POS systems, and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise staff or assist in training new employees is a plus.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
