About the position

The Bilingual Spanish Entry Level Behavior Technician (RBT) position at Sunrise ABA involves providing high-quality, evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The role focuses on implementing individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a BCBA, working directly with clients to promote skill development and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Implement ABA treatment plans as designed and directed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions with clients in home, school, and community settings.
  • Utilize positive reinforcement and other ABA techniques to promote skill acquisition and behavior reduction.
  • Accurately collect and record data on client progress during each session.
  • Monitor and report changes in client behavior and progress to the supervising BCBA.
  • Assist in the preparation of progress reports and attend team meetings to discuss client development.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate effectively with clients' families and other team members to ensure consistency and generalization of skills across settings.
  • Provide support and training to family members and caregivers as needed.
  • Maintain professional and respectful communication with clients, families, and colleagues.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience implementing ABA programs or working with children with special needs is a plus.
  • Experience working with children preferred in roles such as Childcare Provider, Nanny, Babysitter, Preschool/Infant Teacher, Montessori Guide, Tutor, Substitute Teacher, Mental Health/Autism Advocate, or Behavioral Health Technicians.
  • A passion for working with children and helping them flourish is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Patience, compassion, and a genuine desire to help others.

Nice-to-haves

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification a plus.
  • Experience in childcare or education settings.
