About the position

The Bilingual Family Intervention Specialist at Youth Villages is responsible for providing intensive home-based therapy to families, particularly those at high risk of youth removal from their homes. This role involves conducting family sessions in Spanish while managing documentation and supervision in English. The position requires a commitment to helping troubled children and their families find success through a comprehensive array of programs and services.

Responsibilities

  • Carry a small caseload of 4-6 families.
  • Hold family sessions with each family 3 times a week, scheduled at the convenience of the families in their homes.
  • Participate in crisis on-call rotation for the program.
  • Attend 3 supervision meetings a week.
  • Complete web-based documentation using voice recognition technology in most locations.
  • Provide treatment in individual families' homes across various settings and communities.

Requirements

  • Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
  • A Master's degree in a social services discipline is preferred; a Bachelor's degree in a social services discipline is required.
  • One year of experience working with individuals or families in need of crisis intervention.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule.
