The Bilingual Spanish Office Assistant 2 at the Patient Access Call Center plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service to a diverse community. Responsibilities

• First point of contact for clients by phone, answering incoming calls and routing them appropriately.
• Provide clients with current information and resources for other county services and outside agencies.
• Schedule appointments for patients according to scheduling guidelines.
• Confirm demographics, verify insurance coverage, and schedule appointments as indicated for Eligibility Services.
• Reschedule appointments and manage appointment cancellations.
• Provide outstanding customer service to patients and staff.
• Perform outreach to patients when needed.
• Submit PCP change form to insurance prior to patient attending scheduled medical appointment.
• Receive, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing correspondence.

Requirements

• Bilingual in Spanish and English, with the ability to speak, read, and write fluently in both languages.
• Two years of general office support or customer service experience dealing directly with the public.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, particularly EPIC.
• Strong data entry skills and familiarity with databases.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience providing professional customer service to diverse communities.
• Training or experience working with data entry, databases, or Electronic Health Records Systems such as EPIC.
• Previous experience working in a medical or health-related environment.
