About the position

The Bilingual (Spanish) Retail Store Manager is responsible for leading a dynamic sales team in a retail environment, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and driving sales growth. This role involves hiring, training, and developing sales advocates, maintaining store presentation, and actively engaging with the community to promote products and services. The position requires a strong focus on customer service and sales performance, with opportunities for personal commissions and bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
  • Assess customers' needs and provide assistance and information on product features
  • Welcome customers to the store and answer their queries
  • Hire, train, and develop high performing Sales Advocate teams to consistently meet performance expectations
  • Drive sales by going the extra mile
  • Maintain in-stock and presentable condition of assigned areas
  • Assist Sales Advocate team in prospecting for external business
  • Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
  • Process POS (point of sale) purchases
  • Cross sell products and handle returns of merchandise
  • Build productive relationships with Sales Advocate team and customers
  • Comply with inventory control procedures
  • Suggest ways to improve sales through collaboration with the team and District Manager

Requirements

  • 6 - 12 months proven work experience in retail management
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
  • Proficiency in English; bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
  • Basic math skills
  • Familiarity with standard retail operational and inventory practices
  • Track record of over-achieving sales quota
  • Hands-on experience with POS transactions
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
