About the position

The Bilingual Spanish Speaking Tax Advisor at 1-800Accountant is responsible for providing exceptional client experiences and guiding small business owners through the complexities of taxation. This role emphasizes building meaningful connections with clients, ensuring their financial prosperity, and driving client revenue retention. The position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility while focusing on client engagement, collaborative accounting expertise, and empowering decision-making to optimize clients' financial health.

Responsibilities

  • Dedicate time to building lasting connections with small business owners through phone calls and messages, providing empathetic guidance and reassurance throughout their financial journey.
  • Analyze client feedback and market trends to identify areas for improvement and implement initiatives to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns and initiatives to upsell additional services and expand client relationships.
  • Utilize accounting expertise to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial processes, including a deep understanding of tax strategy and accounting principles.
  • Provide comprehensive financial guidance, strategic planning, and tailored solutions that optimize clients' financial health and minimize their tax liabilities.
  • Drive business growth, increase client retention, and identify opportunities to offer additional products and services.
  • Research complex tax subjects and stay up-to-date on the latest tax codes, focusing on advanced tax planning techniques.
  • Provide timely and professional communication with clients via a softphone/messaging system, ensuring a seamless client experience.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives focusing on tax efficiency and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • 1+ years of experience preparing small business tax returns
  • 2+ years of experience preparing individual tax returns
  • Strong background in tax strategy and tax accounting principles
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets, tax preparation, and bookkeeping software
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Willingness to receive feedback and learn from others
