About the position
The Bilingual Technician Total Quality position at Mission Foods is responsible for ensuring that products meet quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. This role involves monitoring production processes, conducting laboratory analyses, and ensuring compliance with internal and external quality specifications. The technician will also assist in special projects and maintain accurate documentation of quality assurance activities.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and audit production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Read and interpret product specifications to ensure compliance.
- Perform laboratory analysis on raw materials and finished products as per work instructions.
- Document and communicate the status of non-conforming products to production supervisors and management.
- Monitor production areas for compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Perform shelf-life tests on finished products and record results.
- Assist in special projects and ensure accurate data collection and recording.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9002 Standards and complete reports accurately.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in Food Science or related field preferred.
- 4 years of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food manufacturing.
- Knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety Programs preferred.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Good communication skills and ability to work responsibly and reliably.
