About the position
The Bilingual Technician Total Quality position is responsible for ensuring that products such as corn, flour, and tostada meet quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. This role involves monitoring production processes, conducting laboratory analyses, and ensuring compliance with internal and external quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and audit production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Read and interpret product specifications to ensure compliance.
- Communicate any deviations from specifications to relevant personnel.
- Perform laboratory analysis on raw materials and finished products as per work instructions.
- Document and communicate the status of non-conforming products to production supervisors and management.
- Conduct secondary evaluations on non-conforming products and report results to management.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices in production areas.
- Perform shelf-life tests on finished products and report deviations to management.
- Assist in special projects and ensure accurate data collection and recording.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9002 Standards and complete reports accurately.
Requirements
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment required, preferably in food manufacturing.
- Preferred associate degree in baking, Food Science, Chemistry, Quality Technology, or related field.
- Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered.
Nice-to-haves
- Quality Systems experience preferred.
- Knowledge in HACCP and Food Safety Programs preferred.
- Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Good communication skills.
