About the position

The Bilingual Title Coordinator II at Stellantis Financial Services is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of vehicle titles within the organization. This role ensures the accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation of titles, while also serving as a liaison between various departments to resolve title-related issues. The position requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Handle the processing of vehicle titles with precise accuracy and all activities related to various title processes such as title/lien perfection, repossession titles, releases of lien, title maintenance, and collateral management.
  • Coordinate and act as a liaison between FDI Collateral Management, Custodian Bank, and SFS/FIFS to ensure all auto title problems are resolved.
  • Assist in the follow-up of loans that require repurchase letters for outstanding titles and escalate any outstanding repurchasing issues to management.
  • Call DMV offices for advice and instructions for completing title paperwork.
  • Train new employees and assist peers in the department with questions.
  • Handle escalated calls and issues related to titles sent to borrowers in error, large balance short payoffs, etc.
  • Maintain quality control of current title status reporting, ensuring that all exposed titles are handled according to established policies and procedures.
  • Research vehicle titles and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain clear and concise communication with team members and stakeholders regarding title status and updates.
  • Work closely with internal departments to handle difficult accounts and field title-related questions.
  • Maintain confidentiality of personal information for consumers.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in titling, lending, or a relevant role.
  • High school diploma and/or GED.
  • Knowledge of DMV documentation requirements, laws, and regulations for motor vehicle titles.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Bilingual is a basic requirement to handle inbound customer calls.

Nice-to-haves

  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience in automotive financial or loan servicing or related fields.
