About the position

The Billing/Accounts Receivable Associate is responsible for invoicing and assisting the Accounts Receivable Specialist. This role requires effective interdepartmental communication to complete tasks efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process daily invoicing ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
• Distribute invoices to customers via mail, email and EDI
• Track invoicing process delays and discrepancies for discussion with management for ongoing policy review and improvement
• Maintain customer database in ERP system
• Process customer credit memos and ensure proper documentation and approvals
• Process customer credit applications
• Investigate and resolve customer inquiries regarding invoices
• Apply customer payments via check, ACH and credit card in ERP system
• Generate and distribute AR statements to customers
• Other Accounts Receivable duties as assigned
• Assist other areas of accounting department as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma required, college courses preferred
• Prior corporate billing experience preferred
• Prior experience with Made2Manage (or similar ERP)
• Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills required
• Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast changing environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Access
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required
• Attention to detail with an eye for accuracy
• Creative, self-disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency
