About the position

Aunt Mae's Home Care is seeking a dedicated Billing and Payroll Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time position with a salary of $60,000 per year. Our agency has been in operation for 18 years, primarily serving Medicaid clients, and we pride ourselves on providing extensive training to our employees. While prior billing and payroll experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic and a commitment to our mission. The role involves three major components: performing Electronic Visit Verification Maintenance for our attendants, generating paychecks, and billing our payers, which include the State of Texas and Managed Care Organizations. The successful candidate will initially work in the office for the first month to gain a thorough understanding of our processes. After this training period, the candidate will be required to come into the office every other Friday for meetings and occasionally by appointment to hand out checks to employees and pick up mail. We are looking for someone who is not only a hard worker but also honest and trustworthy, with a clean background. The position requires a detail-oriented individual who can follow procedures and documentation requirements meticulously. Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Apple Numbers, are essential, as the job involves working with spreadsheets and numbers regularly. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively with payroll personnel, administrators, and attendants regarding time and paycheck issues, maintaining a polite yet firm demeanor when necessary. We value integrity and long-term commitment, as it takes time to train someone in this role, and we hope to find a candidate who will become a part of our family.
