About the position

As a Billing Operations Analyst, you will play a crucial role in executing billing initiatives, identifying process improvements, and supporting cross-functional teams to enhance our billing operations. This position requires close collaboration with various departments to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and drive customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for ensuring that all billing initiatives and goals are executed with accuracy and timeliness, while also maintaining high standards of customer service. In your role, you will respond to billing inquiries through various channels, including email, phone, and agent requests, ensuring that all inquiries are addressed within 24 hours. Your analytical skills will be put to use as you analyze billing data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. You will create reports and dashboards to communicate insights to both internal and external stakeholders, providing valuable information that can drive decision-making. Quality assurance and process improvement will be key components of your responsibilities. You will identify and implement sustainable and impactful process improvements, as well as develop and maintain standard operating procedures for billing processes. Additionally, you will assist in initiatives involving billing platform migration and integration, collaborating with IT and other departments to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruptions. Your role will also involve working closely with other teams, such as underwriting, claims, customer service, and growth, to address billing-related issues and improve overall operations. Participation in cross-functional projects will be expected to enhance the company's billing capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in billing operations, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
  • Experience with billing systems and data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of insurance industry regulations and compliance requirements (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
