About the position

The Billing and Shipping Analyst will be a key member of the physical metals operation team based in Toronto, responsible for supporting the global trading and sales desks. This role involves ensuring smooth settlement of metals by acting as a liaison between custodians and clients, managing billing processes, and maintaining accurate records of transactions.

Responsibilities

• Organizes work information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Researches and resolves discrepancies and issues or escalates to manager, as required.
• Responsible for monthly invoice and dispatch to clients within the required timeline.
• Ensures records are maintained in a proper manner.
• Ensures the financial system and inventory system are updated properly for trades and transfer requests, retaining related supporting documents for future reference.
• Ensures all shipping documentation and invoices generated are in order as required.
• Builds effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Works independently on a range of complex tasks, which may include unique situations.
• Interacts with partners across the businesses, including Middle office, Front office, and Technology.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant experience, familiar with billing process and invoices.
• High level communication skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of business unit's products and services, processes, and controls.
• Knowledge of standard desktop applications (i.e., Excel) and department systems and applications.
• Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous banking experience.
• Understanding of business unit's risk and regulatory requirements.
