About the position

The Billing Specialist at MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions is responsible for efficiently managing and processing service calls for the Eastside Service area. This role requires strong customer support skills to handle disputes, billing inquiries, and account reconciliation, while collaborating closely with various teams to ensure accurate billing and cost details. The position offers opportunities for growth and autonomy in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and submit invoices to customers through proper channels with their specific requirements in mind
• Create a weekly work in progress report and process a high volume of service calls in a timely manner
• Work closely with the area operations managers and foreman to ensure invoices are closed with correct costs and details
• Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills quickly and efficiently to invoice as much as possible each month
• Keep up to date records of billing instructions and contacts
• Maintain multiple email accounts and keep them up to up to date
• Follow up with both the customer and internal partners to resolve billing issues on a weekly basis
• Provide excellent customer service and financial support to both Service and our other business units

Requirements

• A high level of organization and attention to detail for accurate recordkeeping
• Previous working experience in a billing role, (construction industry experience is a plus but not required)
• Outlook and Microsoft Excel knowledge required
• Two to three years working in an office environment
