About the position

The BIM Coordinator / Drafter at Building Composites is responsible for transitioning the company from 2D drafting to 3D modeling using Revit. This role involves preparing detailed 2D drawings in AutoCAD, managing project workflows, and developing Revit models and custom libraries. The position emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and adherence to BIM standards, while also providing training to team members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, detailed 2D drawings in AutoCAD to meet production needs.
• Set up and manage project workflows on Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
• Expand project development to include 3D Revit modeling and documentation.
• Create, manage, and organize custom Revit family libraries.
• Standardize BIM processes across projects for consistency and compliance.
• Provide training and guidance on Revit, ACC, and BIM best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years in drafting (AutoCAD) and BIM (Revit) experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Building/Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting.
• Strong knowledge of Revit, especially in creating projects from scratch.
• Proficiency in managing project workflows on Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in conducting internal training sessions on Revit and drafting standards.
