The Customer Service Manager plays a pivotal role in the daily operations of the store, reporting directly to the General Manager and Assistant Store Manager. This position is centered around enhancing the customer experience by actively supervising staff and fostering a service-oriented culture. The Customer Service Manager is responsible for motivating and inspiring the team to meet store goals while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, particularly regarding safety and security. This role requires a strong leadership presence to maintain control within the store and to create a welcoming environment for customers. In this position, the Customer Service Manager will consistently engage with customers, responding promptly to inquiries and needs. They will observe staff interactions with customers, providing guidance and instructions to improve service quality. Demonstrating leadership, the manager will drive sales, handle complex customer transactions, and showcase organizational skills. The role also involves conducting new employee orientations, training, and coaching Store Associates to ensure they meet the company's service standards. Regular communication with the General Manager and Assistant Manager is essential to discuss business trends, strengths, and opportunities for improvement. The Customer Service Manager will provide ongoing feedback to staff regarding their performance and assist in the hiring process to fill open positions effectively. Additionally, they will ensure that the store and associates meet company standards for appearance and will assist in planning and adjusting schedules to maximize sales while adhering to payroll expectations. The Customer Service Manager will also be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing merchandising and sales promotions, ensuring that pricing and signage are accurate. A commitment to continued education, including product knowledge and professional development, is expected. The manager will assist the management team with inventory management and perform all duties of a store associate as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
