About the position

The IT Support Specialist at BIO-CAT is responsible for providing comprehensive support for all aspects of information technology and cybersecurity within the organization. This role involves collaborating with the IT Manager to assist staff with technical issues, implement software and hardware upgrades, and ensure the smooth operation of IT systems. The position requires on-call weekend support as needed and focuses on troubleshooting daily technical challenges to meet organizational needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to staff for all aspects of information technology and cybersecurity.
• Serve as on-call weekend IT backup as applicable.
• Assist in determining and implementing future IT projects.
• Manage software and hardware upgrades to meet organizational needs.
• Troubleshoot daily technical issues and provide solutions.
• Support other IT-related duties as applicable.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an applicable field of study.
• 3-5 years of related experience in IT support.
• Extensive systems knowledge and experience with Active Directory.
• Experience with VOIP phone systems and networking.
• Knowledge in cybersecurity practices.
• Effective communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Microsoft Dynamics GP.
