About the position

The BIO - Corporate Functions role is a senior leadership position responsible for defining and delivering technology strategy and capabilities across Corporate and Enterprise Risk functions. This position plays a crucial role in formulating business and digital strategies, overseeing technology operations, and driving transformational business capabilities to ensure the organization remains competitive and innovative. The leader will act as a trusted advisor to Business Unit (BU) heads, fostering strong relationships and collaboration across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with BU and technology leaders to formulate the company's business and digital strategies, product roadmaps.
  • Develop BU Technology vision, strategy, and a roadmap, leading the IT team in effective execution.
  • Advise senior management on emerging technologies and digital trends relevant to the company's goals.
  • Determine capital investment parameters, priorities, and risks for technology initiatives.
  • Influence enterprise-wide digital transformation and mobilize commitment towards it.
  • Identify and develop cost-effective technology solutions for the enterprise.
  • Ensure transparency and collaboration between the IT organization and its business partners.
  • Create new business models in partnership with cross-functional CXOs.
  • Implement effective organizational design to support business engagement.
  • Direct the design, planning, implementation, and maintenance of products and platforms for BU operations.
  • Establish metrics for managing technology effectiveness and impact.
  • Maintain oversight of all technology projects, ensuring proper planning and delivery.
  • Partner with Enterprise teams for disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Advance DevOps methodology and effective technology & security standards.
  • Monitor industry developments in IT operations and implement relevant tools and frameworks.
  • Review and oversee all vendor and managed service agreements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Science, or Engineering from an accredited university.
  • 15 years of relevant Technology experience or equivalent operational responsibilities.
  • 10 or more years of leading experience.
  • 10 or more years of leading and motivating large diverse teams.
  • 10 or more years of leading through operational concerns.
  • 10 or more years of creating and executing strategic initiatives.
  • 3 or more years of managing DevOps teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in managing Technology in national and/or regional banks.
