About the position

The Biochemist I position in Scientific Operations is designed for individuals who can work independently in a laboratory setting, focusing on conjugation processes. The role involves performing various laboratory tasks, problem-solving, and ensuring productivity while adhering to safety and quality standards. The Biochemist I will report directly to a supervisor and is expected to contribute to team efforts in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform different conjugation formats accurately and independently.
• Maintain consistency in technique, documentation, data entry, and equipment operation.
• Review and address issues during batch record and document reviews.
• Follow departmental guidelines and procedures to promote a safe work environment.
• Participate in Environmental Health & Safety programs and address corrective actions for hazards.
• Assist in lab supply orders, reagent preparations, and equipment maintenance.
• Complete assignments on time to support conjugation productivity.

Requirements

• Ability to perform laboratory multitask functions involved in conjugation.
• Strong understanding of techniques, theories, and background related to biochemistry.
• Experience in documentation and data entry in a laboratory setting.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to departmental guidelines.
