About the position
The Biochemist II position at Astrix Technology involves joining a skilled protein engineering group within the pharmaceutical industry. The role focuses on supporting biochemistry capabilities, particularly in the design and engineering of enzymes and therapeutic proteins/peptides to facilitate drug discovery and development.
Responsibilities
- Manipulate DNA to produce enzymes in cell-free or E. coli expression systems.
- Set up reactions using enzyme preparations as catalyst solutions.
- Quench reactions and prepare them for HPLC or MS analysis.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with laboratory automation techniques.
- Experience with analytical techniques such as HPLC, LC-MS, spectrophotometry, gel electrophoresis, and FPLC.
- Experience in analyzing biological (microbial) samples by HPLC.
