The position emphasizes the application of both biological and bioinformatic skills to evaluate and integrate biomedical informatics data, while also preparing reports and conducting seminars on statistical analyses.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with investigators and clinicians in the design and analysis of studies generating bioinformatic data.
• Develop goals, methods, procedures, and analytic pipelines for data analysis.
• Conduct in-depth analysis using computational/statistical methods and bioinformatics tools.
• Prepare interpretive reports based on data analysis.
• Evaluate biomedical informatics data across multiple domains and time points.
• Document new approaches for data analysis and provide guidance to other bioinformaticians.
• Prepare proposal reviews and conduct seminars on statistical analyses.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in genetics, pharmacology, biology, biostatistics, bioinformatics, or a related field with four years of experience, or a Master's degree with two years of experience.
• Experience with statistical/bioinformatics software packages (e.g., R, Bioconductor, SAS).
• Proficiency in scientific programming languages (e.g., Python, C, Java, shell scripting).
• Knowledge of Linux and command line environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with microbiome, biostatistics, and epidemiology.
• Cloud computing skills and experience.
