About the position

The Bioinformatics Research Analyst at the Karch Lab, University of Washington, plays a vital role in conducting research projects focused on understanding tauopathies and neurodegenerative diseases. This position involves utilizing human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) to establish patient-derived iPSC lines for studying dementia, contributing to an NIH-funded international effort.

Responsibilities

  • Implement algorithms and computer software for analyzing omics-based data sets.
  • Develop data management and analysis solutions for large data sets.
  • Coordinate research projects with other investigators and institutions.
  • Participate in developing hypotheses and experimental design.
  • Assist with reporting of methods, data, and results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Relevant experience of at least 2 years.
