About the position
The Saugus High School is seeking a qualified Biology or Biology/Chemistry Teacher to join their academic team starting in January 2025. The role involves teaching multiple science classes and collaborating with other staff members to enhance student learning and achievement in a high school setting.
Responsibilities
- Teach Biology and/or Chemistry classes to high school students.
- Collaborate with other staff members on a productive academic team.
- Engage in Professional Learning Communities and adhere to NGSS standards.
- Develop and implement common assessments for student evaluation.
- Willingness to teach Science electives as needed.
Requirements
- Valid Single Subject Teaching Credential in Biological Sciences or Biology/Chemistry.
- Successful teaching experience in multiple Science classes.
- Strong desire to work with students of all abilities and achievement levels.
- Demonstrated experience in working with Professional Learning Communities and common assessments.
- CLAD/BCLAD/EL authorization required.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in teaching Science electives.
