Responsibilities
- Tutor and assist students in academic achievement by meeting with them individually or in small groups.
- Help clarify course material and provide suggestions to improve study skills.
- Assist students with course-related equipment and supplies.
- Maintain records of students tutored as required under department guidelines.
- Ensure confidentiality of student records in compliance with FERPA.
- Secure offices and files on a daily basis.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Master's degree including 18 graduate hours in discipline.
- One year of related experience required.
- Knowledge of college-level courses and the English language.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Publisher.
- Familiarity with academic software and related instructional equipment.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Effective presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive tutoring environment and communicate effectively.
