About the position

The Biomedical Engineer (Application Consultant Digital OR) role at Brainlab involves providing on-site clinical evaluations and consulting services to enhance the usage of Digital OR products in surgical settings. The position focuses on educating and training medical personnel, resolving product issues, and maintaining customer satisfaction while promoting the company's innovative digital medical technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site clinical evaluations for new and existing customers to demonstrate the use of products and services.
  • Provide on-site consulting, guidance, and assistance to physicians and OR personnel during surgery.
  • Lead installations and establish functionality at customer sites.
  • Educate/train physicians and hospital personnel on the use of Digital OR products and services.
  • Utilize engineering expertise to recommend product modifications for quality improvement.
  • Act as primary customer liaison, maintaining regular contact and assessing satisfaction levels.
  • Work with the Account Manager to evaluate customer situations and identify sales leads.
  • Resolve product issues through detailed analysis and engineering expertise.
  • Stay updated on new developments regarding Brainlab and competitive products.
  • Attend Digital OR Continuing Education and maintain product certification competency.
  • Promote Digital OR products and services at trade shows.
  • Maximize customer satisfaction and document complaints as per SOP.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Clinical Engineering, Nursing or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years minimum of experience in a technical support role for a healthcare company or provider preferred.
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy and medical terminology preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of PC software applications including Microsoft Office.
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented with a proven history of independent decision-making.
