About the position

The position involves providing on-site consulting and technical support for IGS products during surgeries, ensuring optimal usage and efficiency. The role requires collaboration with medical staff, training personnel, and maintaining customer satisfaction while addressing technical issues and contributing to product improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site consulting, guidance, and assistance to physicians and OR personnel during surgery.
  • Analyze, resolve, and repair product issues using engineering expertise.
  • Direct and assist Radiology staff in performing necessary scans prior to surgery.
  • Educate and train physicians and hospital personnel on the use of IGS products and services.
  • Develop and conduct training programs for hospital staff.
  • Act as the primary customer liaison, assessing satisfaction and working to increase revenue.
  • Collaborate with various managers on market transparency and upgrade initiatives.
  • Utilize engineering expertise for quality improvement by recommending product modifications.
  • Attend meetings and trade shows to demonstrate IGS products and services.
  • Stay updated on developments regarding Brainlab and competitive products.
  • Achieve customer satisfaction in the technical support process by meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Support onsite network troubleshooting and maintenance issues.
  • Perform advanced technical troubleshooting for complex system issues.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with server, network, or virtualization infrastructure in an enterprise environment.
  • Ability to perform complex tasks effectively in high-pressure situations with little supervision.
  • Strong technical knowledge of analog and digital electronic technology related to audio-visual systems.
  • Knowledge of DICOM, HL7, and EMH/EHR workflow is desirable.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a technical support role, preferably in healthcare.
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy, and medical terminology is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, with a proven ability to make independent decisions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of video teleconferencing systems (Polycom and Tandberg) and streaming media.
