About the position

The Biomedical Engineer IV is responsible for conducting laboratory procedures, testing, and research to support aeromedical research and development at USAARL. This role involves data collection and analysis, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining accurate records. The position requires a Secret clearance and is based 100% onsite in Fort Novosel, AL.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct laboratory procedures, testing, and research activities in mechanical engineering.
  • Participate in research work plan and proposal development, recommending instrumentation and test equipment configurations.
  • Acquire, analyze, and evaluate data gathered during research, ensuring accurate documentation of protocol execution.
  • Assist in developing and updating guidelines and standard operating procedures for research.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and biosafety requirements in coordination with relevant staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of seven years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.
