About the position

Castalia Systems is seeking a Senior Biomedical Engineer to provide scientific support for the government's all-source intelligence analysis of foreign weapons of mass destruction (WMD) programs. This role involves conducting enhanced scientific and bio-engineering research, reverse bio-engineering analysis, and vulnerability assessments to support DoD and USG counter-WMD efforts.

Responsibilities

• Support defense analytical requirements with enhanced scientific and bio-engineering research.
• Conduct reverse bio-engineering analysis and characterizations.
• Perform facility and vulnerability assessments.
• Produce analytic reports on foreign biomedical capabilities.

Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 12 years of experience related to the specific labor category.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of labor category activities required to meet mission requirements.
• Mastery of qualitative and quantitative analytic methodologies.
• Ability to define comprehensive, new, or unique research approaches for rigorous assessments.
• In-depth analysis of analytic operations and knowledge management issues across organizational boundaries.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Review analytic products for cogent arguments and tradecraft standards.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in a related area from an accredited institution or a Bachelor's degree with an additional 5 years of senior experience.
