About the position

The Senior Biomedical Engineer at ProHealth Care is responsible for the installation, maintenance, modification, demonstration, and repair of complex diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices. This role involves providing high-quality training and technical support to clinical departments, ensuring the safe and effective use of medical technologies. The position requires a strong commitment to patient care and collaboration with clinical staff to enhance operational processes.

Responsibilities

  • Implement preventive maintenance programs on complex medical electronic equipment to ensure safety and accuracy.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair complex diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices using established testing equipment and techniques.
  • Install, calibrate, and test new medical electronic devices and systems.
  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled electrical and functional safety inspections on medical devices.
  • Train medical staff on the safe and proper use of complex medical electronic devices and systems.
  • Provide operational and technical advice to clinical staff regarding diagnostic and therapeutic devices.
  • Act as a technical resource for Biomedical Equipment Technicians and Biomedical Assistants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in the installation and maintenance of medical devices.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in a clinical environment.
  • Ability to train and support clinical staff effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced certifications in Biomedical Engineering or related fields.
  • Experience with specific medical device technologies or systems.
