About the position

The Biomedical Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing innovative medical devices and technologies that enhance patient care and healthcare outcomes. This role involves collaboration with medical professionals and researchers to create solutions that address complex health challenges, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and optimizing device performance.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop medical devices and systems, such as prosthetics, implants, diagnostic machines, and surgical instruments.
  • Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and healthcare researchers to understand clinical needs and translate them into engineering solutions.
  • Conduct simulations and prototyping to test medical device designs before prototyping.
  • Develop wearable health monitoring devices and implantable medical technologies that provide real-time data.
  • Ensure all medical devices comply with relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Optimize biomedical systems for performance, reliability, and accuracy.
  • Integrate software systems with medical devices for real-time data access and analysis.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in the design, development, and testing of medical devices and technologies.
  • Proficiency in designing and prototyping medical devices, including experience with CAD software and 3D printing.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare regulations and standards such as FDA approvals and ISO standards.
  • Knowledge of designing wearable devices and implantable technologies with a focus on patient comfort and data accuracy.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with medical professionals and researchers.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in biomedical engineering, with hands-on experience in designing, prototyping, and testing medical devices.
