About the position

The Biomedical Signal Processing Engineer will collaborate within interdisciplinary teams to design and optimize multi-modal platforms that integrate various biomedical signal measurements. This role involves developing and implementing algorithms for analyzing diverse data types, conducting real-time and offline signal processing, and utilizing machine learning techniques to enhance data interpretation. The position requires staying informed on current trends in neuro-physiological signal processing and integrating findings into ongoing projects.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate within interdisciplinary teams to design and optimize multi-modal platforms that integrate various biomedical signal measurements
  • Develop and implement algorithms for analysis of eye movement, pupillometry, electroencephalography, speech, and movement data
  • Conduct real-time and offline signal processing of experimental data, ensuring high accuracy and efficiency in data handling
  • Utilize machine learning techniques, including neural networks and large-language models, to enhance signal processing capabilities and data interpretation
  • Conduct comprehensive literature reviews to stay informed on current trends and advancements in neuro-physiological signal processing, human-machine teaming, and medical diagnostics, while integrating findings into ongoing projects

Requirements

  • A Masters in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Biology, Neuroscience, or related field. We will consider applicants with a Bachelors' degree having at least 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, MATLAB, or C/C++ for algorithm development and simulation
  • Solid understanding of signal processing, physiological data modeling, statistics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence concepts
  • Experience with Human Subjects Research is preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Effective communication skills to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • A passion for innovation and a desire to contribute to advancements in biomedical technologies
