Kilby Labs is looking for a biomedical systems/applications engineer to do research and development on novel point of care devices based on specialized electrochemical, magnetics, optical and ultrasound sensing technologies. Kilby Labs represents a research organization within TI chartered to define innovative and valuable IP in collaboration with business units and customers. Kilby engineers must have the ability to approach new and/or existing problems in a way that results in unique, highly disruptive and protectable solutions. Kilby engineers have the opportunity to participate in every aspect of the IP development including system definition, design, simulations, prototyping, bench evaluation, transfer to production, and customer visits. Kilby engineers are required to be self-motivated, critical thinkers, clear communicators, and be able to influence both technical and business leaders all within team environments. Integrated semiconductor-based sensing technology's applications range from industrial sensor applications to future of point of care diagnostic tools and wearables. Decentralized healthcare requires more accurate, portable, and multiplexed diagnostic tools. We are looking for biomedical sensor experts to do research and development on electrochemical/magnetics/optical/ultrasound-based sensors to enable breakthroughs in this field.
