About the position

The Clinical Systems Engineer plays a crucial role in developing and optimizing integrated clinical solutions within the organization. This position requires collaboration with various teams, including Clinical Operations, Technology Teams, and Application Teams, as well as vendors. The role involves researching, designing, and delivering healthcare technology solutions while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as HIPAA. The engineer will manage multiple projects simultaneously and provide support to vendors and operational teams within the John Muir Health system.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, and deliver healthcare technology solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
  • Run multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Support vendors and operational teams as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical/Clinical Engineering.
  • Three plus years' experience in healthcare technology/clinical engineering systems.
  • Solid project management background.
  • Experience in developing and managing complex systems interfaces.
  • Strong understanding of medical and physiologic data.
  • Proven knowledge of Healthcare/Clinical Technology and medical device data systems.
  • Experience with administration and configuration of various application platforms.
  • Knowledge of software systems and application architectures such as client-server and n-tier.
  • Familiarity with HL7, TCP/IP, FTP, Secure FTP, SSH, SMTP, HTTP, DNS, WINS, Active Directory, and related network protocols.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Biomedical/Clinical Engineering.
  • Previous experience with Accruent/TMS CMMC.
  • Knowledge of Imaging systems, Cybersecurity, and data protocols.
  • CCE Certification.
