Biomedical Technician - Clin Engineer

About the position

The Biomedical Technician is responsible for installation, electrical safety inspections, periodic maintenance, performance testing and major and minor repairs of medical equipment in assigned areas of the hospital, as well as external/retail clients. The Biomedical Technician operates sophisticated test equipment and instrumentation for inspections, performance tests, and periodic maintenance/repairs of medical equipment. The testing data acquired from said testing is analyzed and may be prepared for reports. The Biomedical Technician has a thorough understanding of biomedical equipment commonly used in general care areas.

Responsibilities

• Installation of medical equipment
• Conducting electrical safety inspections
• Performing periodic maintenance on medical equipment
• Conducting performance testing of medical equipment
• Carrying out major and minor repairs of medical equipment
• Operating sophisticated test equipment and instrumentation
• Analyzing testing data and preparing reports

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or Electronics Technology, Military or Technical Training or equivalent education/experience
• Valid driver's license and proof of insurance if position requires driving

Nice-to-haves
