The National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) is at the forefront of the United States' efforts to combat terrorism. As a Biometrics/Video Examiner, you will play a critical role in this mission by integrating, analyzing, and sharing vital information to drive government action and achieve national counterterrorism objectives. This position requires a deep understanding of biographic, biometric, contextual, and behavioral information to resolve target identities effectively. You will be responsible for managing relationships with various stakeholders within the U.S. Government, the Intelligence Community, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI). Your ability to cultivate and maintain these relationships will be essential for successful collaboration and information sharing. In this role, you will plan and develop strategies to gain a comprehensive understanding of complex issues related to known or suspected terrorists (KSTs). This includes utilizing a variety of methodological tools and approaches, such as social networking and new media, to analyze and exploit data related to specific identity attributes. You will be tasked with building the most comprehensive terrorist identity records available to the U.S. Government, which will involve identifying gaps in data collection processes and developing strategies to overcome these challenges. Your responsibilities will also include performing detailed analysis of images and media related to targets of interest, distinguishing characteristics of individuals attempting to disguise their identities, and conducting advanced exploitation of various forms of captured media. You will coordinate with other agencies to support the integration of terrorism analysis capabilities across the Intelligence Community, ensuring that your work contributes to the broader mission of national security. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines. You will be expected to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, and to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels. Your role will also involve mentoring and supporting the professional development of team members, ensuring that the entire team is aligned with the mission and goals of the NCTC.
